While visiting my kids and their spouses last weekend 

I was introduced to campaign furniture.

It's so exotic with the brass fixings.  Jenny shows you how to campaign

your own furniture here at her blog.  This chest reminds me of something I would see 

in an old Charlie Chan movie on a Saturday morning.

waiting for a coat of paint (and it's cute besides).

My daughter is getting married in September so today we were talking about making her wedding cake. 

This cake from Brown Paper Packages reminds me that she wants vanilla and I want coconut all over the top mmmmm!
