My to do list of crafts...

First of all, thank you Kalle for showing me this batik idea.
We're going to make homemade t-shirts with our Young Women using this easy technique and kids glue.  Have a peek here to see how to do it.

I'm going to make a few of these sun jars for girls camp in June.
I've seen lots online, but I think I'll try using vinyl lettering to personalize mine (and use my new Silhouette Cameo, so excited!).

What will I do with pom poms, who knows but I remember making them as a child,
this version looks a whole lot easier!  Follow her tutorial here.

This is a great idea for a little someone, they're magnetic too!
Go here to see her tutorial and here to download the doll and clothes.

Mmmmm, cake

This cake is the next thing on my list to make.

Doesn't it look delicious!  You can find the recipe at Urban Fruits, it calls for Maltesers
(those are the lovely round chocolates on the top of the cake)
which aren't to be confused with Whoppers.
You can get Maltesers at World Market, they're malted milk flavored balls covered in REAL milk chocolate.

I have eaten my way through an extra 5 pounds of holiday cheer (including a bag of Maltesers), do you know that 3500 calories make one pound...just sayin'.
So maybe I'll be making this cake and all I'll get to do is look at it!

A christmas pig

Christmas is over and the company is gone, the house is clean and now I'm lonely!
My blog needs attention and I thought I would sit down today and give it some.
I had many pictures on my phone to show you but there was a phone problem this week and I lost them ALL!
I would like to thank my dear sister for saving all she could, but most of all for saving my sanity when it came to working my phone.

So this is what you get,
a picture of Delaney and her friend feeding a pig for Ag Science class.

Happy New Year to you all!

Christmas goodies

I've been doing a lot of Christmas baking these past few days including fudge.

I found this cute treat idea on Eighteen25 last year and was bound and determined to make them this Christmas, here they are.

I used the Fudge recipe on the jar of Marshmallow Cream or you can use the recipe from Eighteen25 which is amazing!

 Boil butter, sugar and milk.

Add marshmallow cream, chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla.

Mix it all together till your hand hurts and your pot looks ... like this!

Scoop it into your container of choice, I went here to get my my pie tins with lids.

Print and cut out the cute labels.
Hand them to your friends and watch them say ooh and aah!

Then I made Hot Chocolate on a Stick from Whipperberry
that I will hand out with my Christmas cookies.
