Paper and fabric, so much fun!

I'm going to visit my sister in a few days so I thought I'd bring her a few homemade items.  I love paper, love, love, love paper, so when I found these little books at Daisy Janie I had to make some.
Oh, and by the way, they're like potato chips, you can't eat make just one!!

 I also came across this creative little beauty on her website so I spent a few hours making half a dozen of them to share with my sister.  She is always the one who shops for fruit and veggies and never uses the plastic produce bags, just lets them roll around lay at the bottom of her cart.  So, these had her name written all over them.  Aren't  I a good sister?

Remember when I said that Valentine's Day was a little out of control this year, well, I made teacher treats for my daughters school...she's 14! Is that embarrassing or what? You see, I keep finding wonderful things on your blogs so I have to make them and give them to somebody don't I? I really don't mind being a craft nerd, actually I kind of like it.

Paper Garland

Since I've spent so much money and used so many Michaels coupons on circle punches, I thought I should use them...! Here is an oh so cute idea I found on Tiny Warbler. You can use scrapbook paper or even maps to cut the circles from.

Read her tutorial, I love how she folds them up and puts them away for another time "once you have enjoyed your new garland more than you thought you could". I think that's why I want to make one, so I can enjoy something more than I thought I ever could!!! I want to!

Valentine's Day!

I printed this out for a fun Valentine's Day decoration from one of my favorite blogs, eighteen25 I thought it was so cute. They even show you how to make the frame to go with it.

I found this oh so delicious valentine download to attach to chocolate kisses there too! I'm a little out of control with my Valentine's this year, oh well!

Side table redo

I did some furniture refinishing the other day, I found this cute side table at a garage sale for a few dollars. She had seen better days but I had big plans for her.

I spray painted with a satin off white color, then distressed it with my hand sander. I think she looks lots better, and I get so many compliments on it. I have become a huge fan of spray paint, plus, it's always an ego boost when I get carded at Home Depot! Hmmmm?!

Dinner rolls baked in a jar!

I want to make some of these from Simple Bites, don't they look marvelous! Mmmmm, a little bit of butter and, oops, I forgot, I'm on Weight Watchers!

Books

I've just read the most amazing book called, Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand and I can't stop thinking about it, give it a read and tell me what you think. With my Kindle I can download a new book at the drop of a hat (even on the treadmill) so I've been doing a lot of reading lately, I also just discovered I can transfer my Kindle books to my phone. I left the gym yesterday morning and sat in my car for half an hour reading on my phone, I tell you what...I kind of like it!

Tell me if you've been having this problem too, when I type on my computer keyboard I often find myself using it like it's my phone keyboard, so I have lots of <> and some of t's instead of T's. Okay, so maybe it's just me!
