Volleyball

It's the end of the volleyball season as we know it, Laney's Bulldogs lost (to the best team in the division by the way) with a smile on their face. If the scoreboard hadn't needed to be reset 3 times and they gave the other team extra points, and if the other team didn't have 2 awesome servers (and I mean awesome) and if the stars were aligned correctly, then we would have made it to the playoffs.

Don't be worried Delaney that it was your fault that you couldn't return those serves, how could you. You played so well this season, you learned a lot too, you did your best. Thank you Molly for being such a great coach! We had fun!!

Amendment to previous post!
Coach Molly called with a smile in her voice and I knew what that meant. We made it to the playoffs, Thursday @5:30, I'll keep you posted.

We won the first game and lost the second, that brought the Bullsdogs to 4th place!
What a night, so much fun.

I'm home!

Well, I've been home for nearly a week and I haven't found the time to blog about it yet.
I'm happy to be back to my regular routine, in my regular home with my regular friends. Who knew being regular would be so fun! Tonight was Bunco night, okay, for those of you who think being part of a bunco group is 'all that and a bag of chips' then bravo to you. A few hours ago they nearly had to drag me there. It was horrible the first time I played, it was boring and I was tired of listening to everyones diet stories (while I shoved the chocolate and swedish fish in my mouth), and I only left with the $5 door prize, yeah! Tonight, I shoved chocolate and swedish fish in my face, nobody talked about their diet and I won the grand prize, a $45 Target gift card! So now the second Thursday of every month is my new favourite night of the month, bunco night.
Who knew?!

Friday!

I scrambled out of bed this morning, scrambled? Not really, my sister's alarm went off about 9 times, after the first 5 times I was annoyed, who reaches over to hit the snooze button 9 times! Love that girl! We went for a long bike ride through the very old and wonderful cemetery behind her house, we even found headstones from 1820, way cool. That makes 2 days of some sort of exercise, I'm a bad doggy because I always do 5 days a week at home, don't tell my trainer!!! I have a whole bag of Canadian chocolate sitting beside my suitcase waiting to pack and I haven't eaten one yet, I'm very proud of myself, but it will eventually happen. Before I leave for home I have to pick up a few "necessities" which include baby Dove soap, gum with sugar not aspartame and more Canadian chocolate, Lisa wants to know if we should stop and get me my own set of fuzzy nose and glasses:) I told her I think I would be okay without them.

5 reasons

Today I went to my sisters book signing for this book. She wrote a book, is that cool or what!
I can honestly say she's the best sister in the whole world.
5 reasons why my sister is the best,
1. she looked awesome in her new dress
2. she worked the room like a pro
3. she signed lots of books and wrote just the right thing
4. she wasn't embarrassed that I was sneezing all over her friends
5. she loves me a lot and tells me all the time.
She even got to wear her fuzzy nose and glasses again! Oh you!

My first blog post!

Can't wait to upload some great photos of delicious food from my holiday to the motherland, oh Canada. But before I do I have to tell you, I've spent the last 6 hours spray painting and distressing my sister's 80's pine wall unit. It looks fabulous, really! I think I killed a few brain cells with the fumes, what's that smell? That was today, the day before we spent 6 hours peeling wall paper. She really loves me, now!

It all started while I sat at LAX at midnight waiting for my plane to Toronto. As I sat alone in the middle of a large group of Ausies, who would think "the dingo eye-t my bye-bee" would turn me into a slobbering, giggling fool. That's the response to the text I sent my sister saying I was sitting by them. Thank goodness they were Australian and had a sense of humor. If that wasn't bad enough my sister met me at the airport disguised in a pair of fuzzy nose and glasses, I barely recognized her.

There, I wrote my first post.
